Several local events that moms will love are happening in the area during the week leading up to Mother’s Day Weekend:

• Saturday May 3 – Saturday May 10, 2014 the city of Holland will be hosting their annual Tulip Time Festival. It is a week filled with hundreds of thousands of tulips, national entertainment acts, events & activities including traditional Dutch Dance and handicrafts, breathtaking sights just off the shores of Lake Michigan and some of the largest parades in Michigan.
• Thursday May 8 – Sunday May 11, 2014), the city of Saugatuck is hosting “A Taste of Fashion.” This fashion event will include seven uniquely themed fashion shows at five fabulous venues. Local retailers will provide models (and even some four-legged friends) dressed head-to-toe in distinctive clothing, jewelry and shoes that reinforce the theme of each show. Galleries from the area will also display art and decorative pieces at some of the venues. Many of our guests love heading out to Saugatuck during the day and “A Taste of Fashion” will be a perfect activity for fashionable mothers to enjoy while staying at Castle in the Country.
