–Butch’s Dry Dock is located 30 minutes away in Holland, Michigan. They are perfect for a classy and romantic dinner for two. Our guests always come back having had a great experience! Butch’s is an amazing local hot spot known for their upscale yet comforting cuisine and specialty cocktails. They even have an underground speakeasy, ask your innkeeper for the secret password to get in!
–Salt of the Earth is located in Fennville, Michigan, about 25 minutes away. Salt of the Earth is widely known in the area for their seasonal menu featuring locally sourced farm-to-table ingredients and their amazing wood fired oven used to make homemade pizza and bread. With such friendly service and amazing food it’s no surprise that they were featured on Food Network within the first year of opening! Sunday nights they even have live music performances from local musicians.
More casual options in our area are Schaendorf Brewery Company in Allegan, owned and operated by a 2nd generation of beef farmers featuring amazing ingredients from their own farm. Principle Food & Drink located in downtown Kalamazoo is the sister restaurant of Salt of the Earth and has a classy yet casual feel to it, featuring unique and creative dishes and cocktails. Waverly Stone Gastropub located in downtown Holland is another great little spot that’s perfect if you’re looking for something a bit more casual but still want an elegant and unique dish. Their menu is composed of upscale comfort food with a creative spin. In Plainwell Michigan, not far from our B&B, hides one of the areas most unknown and amazing restaurants, Four Roses Cafe. Closest to our B&B is The Grill House, a very casual grill-your-own steakhouse also featuring a pub with an extensive menu; a classic spot that our repeat guests love.
Looking to grab a drink after your special dinner for two? Head to Bell’s Brewery in downtown Kalamazoo for some of Southwest Michigan’s most popular craft beer or if you’re close to the B&B, stop by Tantrick Brewery in Allegan, featuring live music and a large list of amazing home-brews on tap. New Holland Brew Pub in Holland is also widely known for their craft beers and you’ll be sure to find one you will love!
