Take a hike or a fat tire bike ride on our three miles of trails meandering through 65 wooded acres, right here on the Castle grounds. Pack your hiking shoes and we’ll provide the fat tire bikes (simply mention our Fat Tire Bike enhancement when booking.) If you’d like to explore the countryside, you’re welcome to bring your own bicycles. Be sure to ask one of our innkeepers for the best routes to take. A local favorite for residents and guests is the Kal-Haven Trail, which boasts 33 miles of former railway tracks from Kalamazoo in the east to South Haven in the west on the shores of Lake Michigan.
You can also explore our private lake with our free-to-use kayaks and paddle boats. Hike our “A” trail back through the woods for a quiet morning or afternoon on the lake…just you, your sweetheart, and nature’s bounty.
