Select Registry -  Inn April, 2008 Castle in the Country was inspected and approved as a new member of the prestigious Association of Select Registry Distinguished Inns of North America. We are one of only eight Inns in the State of Michigan who have qualified to become a member of Select Registry.

SAUGATUCK CVB - Castle in the Country B&B has been a member in good standing of the Saugatuck/Douglas Convention and Visitor’s Bureau since 1994.  Ruth is also a CVB Board of Director and serves in the position of Secretary.

Michigan LAKE TO LAKE - Castle in the Country B&B has been an “Inspected and Approved Member” of the State Wide Association, Michigan Lake to Lake B&B Association since opening in 1992. Herb and Ruth Boven have completed over 15 years of service on the Board of Directors for this organization, and each have served as Association President.

PAII (Professional Association of Innkeepers) - Castle in the Country B&B has been a proud member of the Professional Association of Innkeepers International since 1994. Herb and Ruth Boven have been speaker/facilitators at both national & regional PAII conferences.
